Vancouver, Canada — April 1st, 2010 — MageStick today announced the release of Avatar Hunter for Xbox Live Indie Games. This seminal title utilizes the unique avatar technology of the Xbox 360 to add a new level of immersion to the classic Memory card game.
In this imaginative variation, players are required to match identical avatar twins in order to free them from the clutches of the diabolical Teddy and escape his demented mansion.
The game will arrive complete with five diverse thematic worlds for its initial release, each promising a distinctive experience and avatar set.
Additionally, the team at MageStick has promised ongoing support for their sophomore title; more specifically: a new thematic world, complete with original avatars and thematic elements, will be released every month after the game launches.
Preliminary reviews from the XNA community indicate that MageStick has a winner on its hands. According to MageStick, it appears that fellow publishers, such as Holographic Dreams, have nothing but high praise for the title, calling it a “well polished” “nail-biter,” and proclaiming it a “well made variation of the ol’ memory game.”
MageStick themselves have been adamant about the quality of the title. Chris Reynolds, a programmer for Avatar Hunter, shared his thoughts: “This is, without a doubt, our best product to date. Anyone seeking the full MageStick experience need look no further than Avatar Hunter… This title is really about defining the MageStick brand and delivering a quality product that will provide people with, literally, endless hours of entertainment.”
